Following on from the success of Waru, Studio Local was engaged by BSAG to once again handle the Visual Effects requirements for the critically acclaimed feature film Vai. This included seamlessly stitching together shots to create the illusion of single continuous takes, screen replacement, plate clean up and creating the opening and closing title sequences. The bespoke typography was handcrafted outside of the computer, (which is a rare treat) scanned in and used to create a strong, organic brand identity for the film throughout trailers and print campaigns, as well as the opening titles for the film itself.
